Welcome to Pasha's Perch
My name is Alfred Braden Taylor. I am a 26 year old solo sailor on a 27-foot Ericson named Pasha. I am the grandson of artist Al Sprague, who I simply call "Pa".
In 1981, my grandpa bought a sinking trawler and spent two years fixing her up. In the summer of 1983, on the banks of the Panama Canal, my mom christened that boat as "Pasha". For three wonderful years the Pasha provided opportunities of fishing, diving, and island hopping fun for family and friends in the Pacific waters of Panama.
Today, my family still shares stories of the days spent onboard the Pasha. These tales inspired the naming of my sailboat Pasha, and the creation of Pasha's Perch.

Collared Shirts
The Pasha was known in Panama for bringing in the fish! My grandpa knew the waters of the Bay of Panama - he even drew his own charts and mapped coordinates to "secret reefs". My mom recalls how excited he would get when seeing fish on a reef or birds diving. He would yell from the wheel, "Fish are down there... drop your lines!"
Our collared shirt collection features designs made from the drawings my grandpa made of some of his favorite fish found in the waters of the Bay of Panama.

Chichipati Lure
Tees
Discover the magic of Chichipati Lures, created by my grandpa in 1972! Growing up in Panama, my grandpa and his best friend Bobby Hummer learned fishing from local fishermen. Their love for the ocean led them to start a lure company as teenagers. Join us in honoring their legacy with one of these tees featuring original drawings of different Chichipati Lures by my grandpa.

Beach Towels
My family has a deep connection with Panama. My grandpa was born and raised there and has painted the country for over 70 years! Considered a treasure to many, in his spare time he doodles and paints simple things like fish and flowers. Our towel collection takes some of those designs and provides a perfect piece of "Panama Paradise" to take with you to the beach or pool.

Bags
My grandpa lived a life of adventure in Panama. I grew up hearing his stories about spearing fish alongside sharks and pulling in massive fish on the Pasha. These stories inspired the designs found on our collection of multi use bags.

Tropical
Drinkware
Back in high school, my mom was grandpa's first mate on the Pasha. They spent summers fishing at the Perlas Islands in Panama. Our drinkware collection features drawings of fish they caught right off the Pasha.
