Al Sprague Designs Transformed into Tropical Essentials

Our Story ...

My name is Alfred Taylor. I am a solo sailor on a a 27-foot Ericson and the grandson of artist Al Sprague.

In the 80s, grandpa purchased a sinking trawler and spent two years fixing her up. In 1983, on the banks of the Panama Canal, my mom christened that boat "Pasha."

Growing up, I heard lots of stories about times on the Pasha which is why I chose to name my boat the Pasha. It is my hope to create lasting memories through just like my family did years ago on the original Pasha in Panama.

On a vacation to Hawaii, I casually suggested to my mom that we should make Hawaiian shirts using grandpa's artwork. That simple idea sparked our journey to turn his designs into must-have tropical attire and Pasha's Perch was created.

Although my grandpa is no longer with us, his spirit continues to shine through the artwork he left behind. It is our goal to share all this with you. So join us on this journey to celebrate his life through his doodles, illustrations, songs, and stories. It is everything we cherish about Al Sprague - the man, father, friend, and beloved Pa.
